The Niagara Soccer Association (NSA) is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, inclusive, and professional online environment for all users of its website and digital platforms.

This Code of Conduct applies to all users, including:

  • Members

  • Players

  • Parents and guardians

  • Coaches and officials

  • Club representatives

  • Vendors and affiliates

  • Volunteers

  • Visitors using NSA’s website, community features, and services

By accessing or using the NSA website, you agree to comply with this Code of Conduct.

1. Core Principles

All users are expected to uphold the following principles:

  • Respect for others at all times

  • Fairness in communication and participation

  • Integrity in information shared

  • Safety, especially where minors are involved

  • Inclusion, free from discrimination or harassment

NSA has zero tolerance for behaviour that undermines these principles.

2. Expected Behaviour

Users must:

  • Communicate respectfully and constructively

  • Use appropriate language at all times

  • Respect differences in opinion, background, and ability

  • Follow instructions from NSA administrators and moderators

  • Act in the best interest of youth participants

3. Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviour is strictly prohibited on the NSA website and community platforms:

3.1 Harassment & Abuse

  • Bullying, intimidation, or threats

  • Harassment based on race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or nationality

  • Personal attacks, name-calling, or degrading remarks

3.2 Inappropriate Content

  • Offensive, obscene, or explicit material

  • Hate speech or discriminatory language

  • Content that promotes violence or illegal activity

3.3 Behaviour Involving Minors

  • Inappropriate communication with minors

  • Sharing personal contact information with minors outside approved channels

  • Any form of grooming, exploitation, or boundary violations

🚨 Any suspected misconduct involving minors will be escalated immediately and may be reported to authorities.

3.4 Misuse of the Platform

  • Spamming, solicitation, or unauthorized advertising

  • Impersonating another individual or organization

  • Posting false, misleading, or defamatory information

  • Attempting to bypass site security or access restricted areas

4. Community Groups & Discussions

  • NSA community groups are intended for soccer-related discussion only

  • Group administrators must actively moderate discussions

  • NSA reserves the right to remove posts, comments, or groups that violate this policy

5. Vendor & Affiliate Conduct

Vendors and affiliates must:

  • Represent products and services truthfully

  • Comply with NSA’s marketplace rules and agreements

  • Refrain from aggressive or misleading promotions

  • Resolve customer issues professionally

Failure to comply may result in suspension or removal from the platform.

6. Reporting Violations

Users are encouraged to report conduct that violates this policy.

Reports may be submitted via:

  • The Report an Issue form

  • Direct contact with NSA administrators

All reports will be handled confidentially and respectfully.

7. Enforcement & Consequences

NSA reserves the right to take appropriate action, including but not limited to:

  • Content removal

  • Temporary suspension

  • Permanent account termination

  • Revocation of membership, vendor, or affiliate privileges

  • Referral to disciplinary committees or legal authorities where required

NSA decisions related to enforcement are final.

8. Protection Against Retaliation

NSA strictly prohibits retaliation against any individual who:

  • Reports misconduct in good faith

  • Participates in an investigation

Any retaliation will be treated as a serious violation of this policy.

9. Relationship to Other Policies

This Code of Conduct works in conjunction with:

  • NSA Rules & Regulations

  • Safeguarding / Safe Sport Policy

  • Privacy Policy

  • Terms & Conditions

Users are responsible for reviewing and complying with all applicable policies.

10. Amendments

NSA reserves the right to update this Code of Conduct at any time.
Updates will be posted on the website and take effect immediately unless otherwise stated.
